In 2015, my world turned upside down. My younger son’s kidneys failed, plunging our family into a nightmare we never imagined. Watching him suffer was unbearable, but I knew I had to act. With unwavering determination and the support of our neighbors and relatives, I donated one of my kidneys to save his life. The transplant gave him a second chance, but it came at a cost far beyond what we could afford. My husband, a tea seller, worked tirelessly, but the mounting medical bills pushed us into a financial crisis.
Amid this struggle, I discovered strength in an unexpected place—my lifelong love for creativity. From crafting intricate rangolis to painting and decorating baskets, I found not just an outlet, but a way forward. Painting became more than just an activity; it became my lifeline. It allowed me to balance my health, manage our home, and contribute to our finances, all while caring for my son.
Today, every brushstroke is a reminder of resilience and hope. My work helps me support my family and gives my son the chance to pursue his dreams. Watching him study accounts fills me with pride, knowing that he’s building a future full of promise. What began as a desperate time has transformed into a story of strength, creativity, and the unwavering love of a mother determined to create a brighter tomorrow.
