My name is Alam from India. I am 35, I’ve spent most of my life perfecting the art of hand embroidery—a craft passed down through generations of my family. I grew up watching my father stitch delicate beads onto fabric, his hands moving with precision and care. For us, embroidery is more than a skill; it’s a legacy, a tradition we cherish.

I fell in love with the way each bead transforms plain fabric into something elegant and captivating. With limited schooling, I dedicated myself to mastering this craft, finding pride in every stitch. A turning point came when our workshop received a prestigious order from Japan, demanding exceptional focus and detail. That project elevated my skills, taught me discipline, and deepened my appreciation for the beauty in precision.

Now, as a trained artisan, I dream of sharing this craft with the world, hoping people see the passion, history, and dedication behind each handcrafted piece. By supporting artisans and choosing handmade items, you help preserve traditions like mine and provide steady work for craftsmen. Together, we can ensure this art—and my family’s legacy—continues to shine.

Thank you for reading my story.
